Job Summary
The Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations on the shop floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company quality standards. The role involves supervising production staff, monitoring output, maintaining discipline, and coordinating with management to meet production targets while ensuring optimal use of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of factory/production workers to ensure smooth and timely production.
• Plan, organize, and monitor the production schedule to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Ensure that all machinery and equipment are operated safely and maintained in good working condition.
• Monitor product quality at every stage of production and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
• Maintain proper records of production output, raw material consumption, wastage, and downtime.
• Allocate manpower efficiently across shifts and ensure adequate staffing on the production floor.
• Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure all employees follow health & safety guidelines.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, and workflow inefficiencies.
• Train, guide, and mentor new and existing factory workers on processes, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Maintain discipline on the shop floor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly production reports to the Factory Manager / Plant Head.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness (5S) is maintained across the production area.
• Monitor attendance, leave, and shift scheduling of factory staff under supervision.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions in case of non-conformance or production deviations.

Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Production, or related field) preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a factory/manufacturing supervisory role.
• Prior experience in a similar industry will be an added advantage.
Working Conditions
• Primarily based on the factory shop floor; requires standing and movement throughout the shift.
• May require working in shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as per production needs.
• Exposure to factory environment including machinery, raw materials, and production noise.
