Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, performance-driven, and strategic Business Development Executive to join our growing team. The primary objective of this role is to generate new business opportunities by building strong relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Builders, and other key stakeholders within the B2B segment of the construction and building materials industry.
The role also involves supporting showroom operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience, convert inquiries into sales, and drive overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify, approach, and engage with architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and other potential B2B clients across assigned territories.
Develop and nurture long-term professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the industry.
Proactively generate leads and convert them into sustainable business opportunities.
Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, trade shows, and networking platforms to enhance brand visibility and acquire new clients.
Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and untapped business opportunities.
2. Client Engagement & Customer Interaction
Attend to walk-in clients and visitors at the showroom or factory when required.
Present and demonstrate product offerings effectively, assisting clients in making informed purchase decisions.
Prepare detailed and transparent quotations outlining pricing, timelines, specifications, and delivery commitments.
Coordinate order processing, dispatch, and follow-ups to ensure seamless execution.
Provide post-sales guidance to clients regarding product usage and installation, and collect feedback to improve service quality.
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, meetings, client interactions, and follow-ups in CRM systems and data sheets.
Collaborate with the Marketing team in lead generation initiatives including branding, social media campaigns, email marketing, and digital promotions.
3. Sales Coordination & Internal Support
Travel to associated retail locations and engage with on-ground sales teams to provide training, product knowledge, and business development insights.
Support showroom operations and assist the Customer Experience team in converting inquiries into confirmed business.
Contribute to achieving organizational sales targets through coordinated team efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
(Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.)
Experience
1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related function.
Prior experience in the construction, infrastructure, or building materials industry will be considered an advantage.
