ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with a solid industrial background to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key client relationships, and expanding our market footprint across assigned territories. This role demands a high level of commitment, field presence, and availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets.
  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new industrial clients across assigned regions.
  • Manage and nurture long-term relationships with existing key accounts.
  • Conduct on-site client visits.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (production, logistics, finance) to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and exhibitions as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 – 5 years of proven sales experience in an industrial sector (manufacturing, engineering, heavy equipment, chemicals, automation, or similar).
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Prior experience managing a sales territory or handling key industrial accounts is mandatory.

Technical & Domain Skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial products, processes, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, or product catalogues.

Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and sales reporting platforms.

TRAVEL & AVAILABILITY

  • Must be willing and able to travel continuously for 15 – 20 consecutive days per month across assigned territories.
  • Overnight stays at client sites, industrial zones, or remote locations may be required during travel periods.
  • Must remain available on phone and digital channels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for client escalations, urgent orders, and management communications.
  • Timely response to client calls, emails, and messages is a critical performance expectation regardless of time zone or travel schedule.KEY COMPETENCIES
