Job Summary
The Factory Manager will be responsible for managing all stone production activities including cutting, CNC carving, hand carving, finishing, polishing, quality control, packing, and dispatch to ensure timely and defect-free delivery for temple and stone construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning
Plan and control:
Block cutting
CNC machining
Hand carving
Finishing and polishing
Align factory production with site erection schedules.
2. Team & Resource Management
Manage:
CNC operators
Carvers
Cutters
Supervisors
Quality control staff
Assign work and monitor daily productivity.
3. Quality & Heritage Control
Ensure stone products meet:
Approved drawings
Approved carving samples
Temple and heritage construction standards
4. Material & Inventory Control
Track:
Stone blocks and slabs
Carved components
Tools and consumables
Reduce wastage, breakage, and rework.
5. CNC & Technology Control
Oversee:
CNC programming and operations
Machine utilization
Maintenance and calibration schedules
6. Dispatch & Logistics
Plan and supervise:
Packing and protection
Labeling and numbering
Dispatch and transportation to site
7. Safety & Compliance
Enforce:
Machine safety procedures
Crane and lifting norms
Dust, noise, and workplace safety controls
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in:
Mechanical Engineering
Production Engineering
Civil or Industrial Engineering
Experience
8 to 20 years of experience in:
Stone factories
CNC carving units
Temple, monument, or heritage stone production
Key Skills
