About the Role:
We are seeking a mid-level Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team at GIFT IFSC, Gandhinagar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with IFSCA, SEZ, and other relevant regulatory and legal frameworks. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a thorough understanding of compliance functions within the financial services or capital markets domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with IFSCA regulations, SEZ guidelines, and other applicable local and international laws.
Develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) frameworks.
Oversee KYC (Know Your Customer) and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) processes.
Prepare, review, and update internal compliance policies and procedures regularly.
Handle regulatory reporting and disclosures to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits and inspections.
Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on regulatory changes and compliance policies.
Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and represent the company during regulatory reviews or queries.
Monitor transactions and ensure robust risk management and compliance systems are in place.
Keep abreast of new and evolving regulatory trends and assess their impact on the business.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
3–6 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably in a financial institution, capital market intermediary, or fintech operating under IFSCA or SEZ frameworks.
Strong knowledge of IFSCA regulations, SEZ Acts/Rules, AML/CFT, KYC norms, and financial compliance best practices.
Experience working in or with IFSC units (International Financial Services Centre) is highly desirable.
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to business operations.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong ethical standards, integrity, and high attention to detail.
