Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Officer to lead and oversee the operations of our Capital Market Intermediaries (CMI) unit at GIFT City. As the designated Principal Officer, you will act as the primary liaison with the International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
This role is pivotal in ensuring full regulatory compliance, operational excellence, strategic leadership, and exceptional client service within the IFSC framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Liaison:
Serve as the main point of contact with IFSCA, SEZ Authorities, and other applicable regulatory bodies.
Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including IFSCA and SEZ regulations.
Oversee timely and accurate regulatory filings, disclosures, and reporting.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of evolving regulatory guidelines and implement changes accordingly.
Operational Oversight:
Lead day-to-day operations of the Capital Market Intermediary unit, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, SOPs, and risk management protocols.
Monitor and manage client onboarding processes including KYC, AML/CFT, and due diligence procedures.
Strategic & Business Leadership:
Drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements in line with business goals.
Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the unitโ€™s vision, growth strategy, and service offerings.
Evaluate and recommend technology and process enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
Risk Management & Governance:
Implement and manage a robust compliance and risk control framework.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are addressed promptly.
Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum 2โ€“5 years of relevant experience, preferably in capital markets, compliance, or financial services operations.
Prior experience as a Principal Officer or in a senior compliance/operations role in a regulated financial entity is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of IFSCA, SEZ regulations, and capital market operations.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and regulatory interactions.
High ethical standards and strong attention to detail.
