Job Summary
An International Travel Consultant assists clients in planning and booking overseas travel, including flights, visas, accommodation, and itineraries. The role requires strong destination knowledge, customer service skills, and expertise in international travel regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and sell international travel packages (leisure, business, group travel)
- Provide expert advice on destinations, visa requirements, and travel regulations
- Book flights, hotels, insurance, and transportation using GDS systems (such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre)
- Assist clients with visa documentation and application processes
- Handle customer inquiries via calls, email, and walk-ins
- Prepare quotations, negotiate deals, and close sales
- Manage changes, cancellations, and travel disruptions
- Maintain client records and follow up for repeat business
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Hospitality, Tourism, or related field preferred)
- 1–5 years of experience in international travel consulting
- Knowledge of global destinations
- Familiarity with visa processes
- Experience with GDS tools (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
- Strong communication and sales skills
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- IATA certification (preferred)
- Multilingual ability (English and Hindi/Gujarati preferred)
- Experience in handling corporate travel accounts
